Hi Guys,

Seen some S3 Side Skirts which seem a reasonable price (£150) with end caps.

Do these just go straight on a sline without the need for new sills etc?

Cheers

James

You need door bottoms and sills, the S-line ones stand to proud. Are they OEM as £150 seems very very cheap!

£150 for some thats coming off a s3 thats being broken. Got my spoiler off the same car which I've been after for ages!

How much are the bottoms and the sills roughly, do you know?

Is it a 3 door? I bought the lot brand new ill dig out the receipt. I'd snap then up mate £150 is cheap as chips!

paid £420 new from tps, that's with out the s3 scuff panels, (as mine is not an s3) fitting them on in the morning. will let you know how easy it is lol

Cheers lol. £420 is a lot of money even if it does look good!

The side skirts have sold already (within a matter of hours).

It was for a 3dr but I'd still like to know the prices of the extras just so I know for future :)

I changed mine two weeks ago and didn't want to buy the S3 door sills for two reasons.Firstly they cost about £250 for all four doors (sportback) and secondly they have S3 written on them what is not ideal for me as i have an A3. The main issue that arises with using the current sills is that they were glued down at the factory so it is easy to bend them when you take them off,i used a heatgun and slowly tried removing them and managed to get them off without causing any damage. The S3 Sills are thinner as the skirt sits below them so you need to trim them down slightly so there is enough clearance for the door to close.

I think it's well worth the money you save to modify the current sills . One thing you need to buy is the door blades as the A3 ones curve in at the bottom as opposed to the S3 ones what are flush with the skirt,I think they were about 47.50 for three and for some odd reason the blade from the drivers door was £67 .They are easy to replace u just remove two screws and they slide right off.

Got to say that's a bargain of the century right there....I've been looking for them prices for 2 years...

Arjuanamo - Thanks for the reply and the pics! Very useful.

Digzz - The guy offered the door trims, sills and skirts for £220 delivered - just wish someone else hadn't spotted them now. The guy was checking the items in storage for me first just to double check everything was present and I'd have probably got them :(

fitted mine today. 3dr, was very easy to fit and look so good, really finish the side of the car off

dont really need s3 door inlays as ive used mt sline inlays and they fit fine.

no photos seem to work for me, have sat for hours at a time trying to upload

Should make a Flickr account mate,i just use my gmail to log into it and it is perfect for posting pictures as you can embed them into threads and can upload up to 300mb of content on a free account.

Got my side skirts today along with plinth thingys :) £230 all in - he wouldn't do them without plinth things but I figure I still got a good deal.

Hi guys - finally got my skirts ready to put on.

Two things (bear in mind I have a 3 door)

I only got sent two door blades, is this right?

Do I need any fittings to secure the skirts?
