Hi all, I've ordered an S Line sportback for the mrs with the lower S line suspension set up which should arrive in about 10 days time, just wondering if anyone on here has a sportback with S line suspension as I don't think I've seen one yet. I've seen a few 3 doors with the lower suspension but no sportbacks and was interested in seeing what the ride height is like?

cheers
steve.

My understanding is that the S Line sportback is not available with the s line suspension, only the sport suspension!

Yeah I've looked on the configurator and its now disappeared, but our order definitely included it as it was available at the time and I've since checked with lease company and they have confirmed it will have the s line suspension. Ours maybe the first then, I will post some pics when it arrives :)

I will be interested to see how it looks and rides!

I have the sport suspension and it rides very well!

It will probably ride rough with the state off the roads around here and all the pot holes, but it won't be me that's driving it :-D
thinking about it though, think the sportbacks at the Paris motor show had the lower suspension judging by the lack of wheel arch clearance.

I've ordered it also and had nothing to say I'm not getting it so will see what happens

That's a bit strange not got mine yet and told no and then don't do sline suspension at all!

Pages 26 and 52 in the brochure contradict each other. Page 26 suggests s-line suspension is available for the sportback and on page 52 it clearly states it is not.

I only noticed page 52 when I was ordering so I will have just the sport suspension and not the additional 10 mm lowered set up with the s-line.

Will be good to see if those who have managed to spec it actually do get it.

You can spec a Sportback with S-line suspension, however the local dealer here has informed that they are out of parts at the factory from that specific supplier at the moment and thats why you currently cant order it

It does say in the brochure against Option - 2UG S line sports suspension (More dynamic spring/damper setting and lowered by an additional 10mm compared with the Sports suspension or by 25mm compared with the standard suspension) that it is not available on A3 Sportback.

That is how I read it Zig. If I had played closer attention to page 26, I may have tried to get it in to the order. The brochure is a great sales aid for Audi. ;)

Apologies for the typo from me - paid was the actual word I should have used and not 'played' in that last post. Also, the correct page number is 53 in the brochure. What is strange is they use the words 'not available' and in the coding chart, the dot suggests it is. Page 26 clearly says it is an option. Damn you Audi for making it clear and how stupid I am for not asking.

2UG S line sports suspension.
More dynamic spring/damper setting and lowered by an additional 10mm compared with the
Sports suspension or by 25mm compared with the standard suspension. Not available on A3 Sportback

Picked my new A3 Sportback up tonight but completely forgot to ask about the S-Line suspension. I definitely specced it when I ordered at the end of last year. Will try and take some pictures tomorrow but it does look to be riding relatively low.

I picked my Sportback up on 26th April (3 weeks earlier than expected!!) and I also specced the S-Line sports suspension. I have no reason to believe the suspension is anything other than what I ordered, although it didn't cross my mind to confirm at pick-up. Anyway, it's difficult to tell, but here's a pic which possibly suggests that I do indeed have S-Line sports suspension...

Thoughts?

Incidentally, I've now done about 200 miles and I love the car and the suspension setup, whatever it may be!

Don't have the web link to hand but there is a site that allows you to key in each of the 3 character values which are in your log book delivery sticker (for want of a better phrase) I went through it and it showed my car was built with sport suspension hopefully one of the other regular posters can share the link I'm referring to.....

As pjdali said, you just type in the 3 digit codes from the sticker in your service booklet and it lists your options.

Looking at the picture I will confirm you have s-line suspension on there. That has the same profile as my 3 door full S-Line spec.

Yep agreed that's def slightly lower than the standard sport suspension I have seen on here.

Gents (dieseldoug/meatfly), if that's the case (i.e. my car having it), then I can recommend the S-Line sports suspension...the ride is ever so slightly hard, but is still comfortable. There's very little body roll and the steering is sure-footed...I'm more than happy!

Could you do a picture from a different position? Just seems bizarre one person would get sline and nobody else can?

It was all to do with what was available at the when ordering, as per above it was very confusing as parts of the brochure said the S Line suspension was not available on the SB, but the configurator let you spec it. Our SB should arrive in the next few days and i have triple checked with the lease company and they have confirmed it will have the S line suspension. Could and should have been a lot clearer though i agree. Some rear/side or side shot pictures would be good as they would show the lower suspension off better as it tends to be lower at the back end for some reason...

Think audi have made some serious mistakes! Just making customers angry! I do not care about how much it may or may not have banged over pot holes just wanted it for the look and better handling! If people are getting sline suspension it's just unfair and I will be making some phone calls!

Interesting rear quarter pic, assume the visible sensor is not a parking sensor as is to close tot he wheel arch. What other options did you go for that might explain it.

Isn't that the advanced park yourself thingy that measures spaces as you drive past and then does all the steering in for you?

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but just wondering what the feedback was? I have just ordered a SB with S Line Suspension - is the parts shortage all over now? And is that what i will receive?

Outlaw7,
I had my SLine suspension confirmed...so I did get what I ordered! Not sure about any parts shortage though...

You can now select it on the config so I'm guessing they gave sorted it!

Thanks Guy's - are you still loving the ride K.Hemlin?
