So i'm trying to figure out what way to go about storing stuff in my boot. I'm currently on my third cardboard box which eventually like that last two will become weak and just break. I've got a sub in my which takes up a quarter of the boot space but that moves around alot aswell, especially going over bumps it jumps about alot.

I've looked at the cargo nets but just as an idea i've got rain-x in spray and bottle form, AG fast glass, a bunch of microfibres, a tyre inflator, a small 1/4" ratchet set, an extendable wheel brace and megs wash and wax. So that won't do unless someone has an idea of how to hold them all down.

Ideally i'm thinking to make a wooden box thats the width of the space between the sub and wheel arch, that'll help hold it in place when its wedged in. But im wondering what other solutions everyone has?

Show me what u got.....

That Boot tidy sounds good from costco.

Me I just have a carrier bag on the curry hooks in the boot to store a few odds and ends in.

Why cart all that around? Put it in the garage or shed or whatever. Problem solved

It sucks that Audi don't offer better storage options in the boot.

My old golf had a great useful storage pocket in the side of the boot too store my essentials, plenty of space.

I was thinking of removing that strong polystyrene that holds the tools in place in the boot and adapting it to suit my needs but it obviously also supports the boot mat, so not sure what can be done.

Anyone modded there boot for extra storage?

I just have one of these,

0000003643464_001c_v001_zp

it folds neatly down if need be.

Cheap as chips from B&Q(£3.99 i think) and I've had mine ages now.

I dont hear any sliding about, and I drive like a 'tool'.

The storage bit under my boot carpet can hold quite alot. In fact its got in it just now about 10 MF cloths, Angelwax QED and Revelation, small bottle of oil, tyre wrench and a small socket set.

Get yourself to Costco as they have a crackin boot tidy in at the minute....£15 and its the full width of the boot on an S3 and it folds down aswell.

I can't have something thats full width cos of the sub, needs to be just under half width i reckon, but i want something strong enough to wedge between the sub and arch to keep both snugly in place

I use this: AUDI Car Boot Organiser / Tidy , fit all models | eBay

Really good, keeps everything tidy and doesnt move.

How wide is that in the boot? got any pics?

Because i use it all, the rain-x gets used the most, the fast glass is necessary prior to applying rain-x, the wash and wax is a single bottle (its a waterless car cleaner) and gets used to deal with small issues like bird poop etc. Microfibres are necessary for using all those products, the wheel wrench and tool kit for whatever may happen. I've got a crap load more stuff at home, enough to fill the boot up twice over i reckon.

Not got any pictures the Mrs has taken my car so cant get any yet..
The size is 50x22x13cm.

Its full with: 1ltr water bottle, coolant, oil, some cleaning clothes. spare bulbs, small tool kit.

I'm not suggesting you don't use it, just don't store it in the car.

I have a tidy boot / travel light.

1x 8L S3 genuine luggage net( probably used once in 10+ years)

1x ring tyre inflater in a zipped pouch clipped to a luggage hook with a carabeener.

When its likely to snow, I add a plastic shovel. ( light weight, does not rust, and not likely to cause an injury in an accident if it comes through from behind. )
