emissions light -anyone in the mids who can run a scan for me

Hi, my emissions light has come on. Literally out the blue, car only had its mot two days ago and passed first time.
The light stays on and does not blink. Car drives fine no eratic idle and is smooth, any ideas what it could be?

If anyone is local to wolverhampton and has a vag scanner i would appreciate it if they could come and scan mine. Cheers

i could scan for you tmoro but would have to be at a services on the m42
i travel between sheffield and s wales so m1 m42 m4
if its anygood to you.

cheers mate,only just seen this - was having trouble getting onto the site yesterday evening.

Someone told me to disconnect the battery for 30 mins and then reconnect which seems to have done the trick - no light now. Also took it for a long drive and its been fine. See how it goes if it comes back I will take you up on that offer. Thanks
