Just wondering if anyone knows of a good set of wipers on ebay with link - for my b6 saloon...

cheers

If they are the flat ones then go for Bosch a016s mate. Just stay away from the seller 1stforwiperblades

Do you mean the ones with the rather obscure fitting? It sort of plugs onto the arm? Hard to find I see - I got some from murrays_direct's profile a year or so back although they don't seem to list them when I looked just now. I'd suggest biting the bullet and putting on the B7 arms which will allow you to use flat / aero blades and in honesty they are SO much better!

A simple mod, and while it'll cost you about £130, it really is money well spent. You'd pay £30 or so just for new standard blades, and they just don't do the job as well as the aero blades do. Mine came from VW Teeside. Of course you might also get some from a scappy, and I understand they are the same as those on the Exeo.

Cheers but not looking at upgrading to B7 arms/wipers... ill be selling my car soon within next couple months- so dont want to be splashing out on this type of mod as i wont see a return...

Its a 2003/53 1.9TDI Sport - so just looking at getting a good set of wipers.. around or upto the 20 quid mark - Bosch are more towards the 40 mark..

I have a 53 plated A6 - as I recall (and mentioned earlier) they have a peculiar attachment to the arms - a sort of plug on and then push down a little clip. I may be wrong, but I think you will find that the "HOOK" type isn't the correct fitment, despite what the Bosch selector says - and indeed Halford's does as well. I know this becuae I bought a set of Bosch blades (from the seller mentioned earlier as it happens) and they didn't fit. We resolved it - eventually.

I seriously doubt you are going to find a cheepo set of replacements. I believe this is the fitting - Valeo Audi | Euro Car Parts UK’s No.1 Car Parts Retailer

Also, check with your Audi dealer. They will of course be able to supply the correct blades. You might also be able to get a replacement rubber set - I know I did that in the past but I can't recall if the blades you have can have the rubber replaced.

I hope this helps you - Mike.

Just went to Euro Car Parts to order these and they are infact the newer aero wiper blades, they are displaying the wrong ****** picture! I had a little rant at them....

I cant seem to find the older style ones with the unique click type blades anywhere, looks like I will need to pay for the upgrade...
