So the plan was to fit new grille, cupra splitter and have a go at plastidip... 2.5 out of 3's not bad.

bumper off and fitting grill wasn't too bad, needed a bit of fettling and superglue to get the parking sensor housing sorted but not to bad.

cupra splitter fits well I think and pleased with how it changes the bumper.

plastidip... The plan was to spray the fog surround black, being an SE they're colour coded and wanted a bit more black on there, to tie on with the splitter and grill. The fog surrounds went ok.... The lines from the fog were a bit harder. I couldn't get a clean line on the outside slat so that had to come off. Still pleased with result tho, big change to the front.

before and after pics..

Well done, looks very neat indeed. You have given me an idea on how to palsti dip the fog light area on my front end too.

Cheers

Cheers mate, the very worst that can happend is you waste £16 on a can, if it doesn't work out as planned just peel it off. This is only my first attempt to only advice would be take your time with masking and prep work then spray away Scott_B5 has done alot of plastip work, he'd be the man to ask. I think

Well, I have got to take the bumper off to reallign the grill audi rings ( PITA ) and re attach the ABT front spolier. While am doin that am gonnae spray the silver grill perimeter and then plasti dip the fog light area like yours and the very lower fog light area, just above the ABT spoiler. Then, go mental with the plasti dip on all the brushed alloy roof rails, window trim and rubber and all chrome badges at the back. Just gotta wait for it to warm up....still ****** Siberia up here!

How easy was it to fit the Cupra splitter on the SE bumper mate? I've got an SE and am considering this mod as i've a bit of a crack on the underside of my bumper which this would hide. Did you have to put the car on ramps to do it?
Cheers,

I actually had the bumper off as I changed grill at same time. Once you cut the lugs down in the middle it's just a question of lining it up. You could probably do it by jacking the car up either side.
A must mod for SE's I reckon bud.

Hmm, I can't imagine me getting on too well with taking the bumper off

I'll be honest, I could still massively balls that up. Does the splitter need much much *******ising?

Also love the look of that black grill but mines not and S-Line so I'd look a complete knob with it on mine.

just the 2 lugs in the middle need to be trimmed down mate.

My car's a SE too mate, they only do that grill for the SE I think....not bad for £8.64

Cool, thank you. I don't have parking sensors so will look for one without.
