Evening all
After driving my friends A4 2.0 TDI 170 last night with a pedal box fitted and chatting to Andrew at DTUK today i've taken the plunge and ordered one!!!

It has made a real difference to my friends car. loads more responcive, seems to reduce lag, generally feels like power has been increased......although it hasn't

Always been impressed with Andrews after sales care, the man never sleeps! This will be the fourth system i have purchased from DTUK and everone has impressed..... im sure this one will be no different

I will update when it arrives

Drum up some interest - How exactly does it work, what exactly (exactly) does it do?

Hi,
Is this just like a Sprintbooster? or does it differ slightly in operation?

its exactly the same principle. Changes the output signal to make it feel like the car is faster. It won't be.

OK, fitted the system on friday..... It comes with 3 settings, sport, sport + and Eco, with 3 map adjustments. noticed the difference straight away, yes, it doesn't give more power like most of the other DTUK systems, but it doesn't claim to either!

But it does make the car feel more responsive and what power you do have is delivered quicker and smoother. Map setting are easily changed by a hand held fob which is housed where the drivers manual/service book is stored

I always think the proof is when the wife drives it, as i never mention to her when ive fitted a tuning box or had a remap. She drove it yesterday in sport mode (unbeknown to her) when she got home she said 'the car seems very lively today'

Im more than pleased with the improvement it has made to the car.

tuffy, is the car modded anywhere else, powerwise?

My thought too ElleDee. If not, I would have gone for a DTUK tuning box before the pedalbox.....but that's just me! So, what is Mucker?

Cheers
A

No. As far as im aware, after speaking to Andrew at Dtuk there isnt a tuning box that is compatible for our engines as they need to be connected to the common fuel rail......Which ours dont have

Aha...well Mr Pawley knows his stuff and his products so that would explain that then! I had a CRD Red Box on my old GM sh@t heap and it was truly amazing the difference his little magic fag packet made to the enjoyment of that horrible Soccer Mom Bus!
Good Luck

I ordered both at the same time, crdt and pedal box. The pedal box unfortunately didn't suit my model so I could never try it. A suitable one has since been released and I am awaiting delivery. I did try one on a mates golf 110 2.0tdi and he said he felt no difference, or at least nowhere near enough to warrant the price. His was totally stock and I was hoping that since I have the tuning box, they would complement each other nicely, giving a very 'remap' feel.

I guess it's good news though, that your experience has been good, even with an otherwise stock set up. Maybe my friends lack of power was the issue!

Hi Elle,

What car is it that you have?

I know we're now onto v3 of the pedal box, and 90% of the feedback has been positive
