S3 gone to a new home....

Must be a sad day for both you and Glen.

No idea what you are interested in car wise. Probably a Porsche.

Got any "working bits" that you no longer need? e.g. throttle bodies, MAF's etc.

AL

Who did you sell it to David? Or did you trade it in to a garage?

It was a private sale to a forum member...

Al, I sold the car and parts as a set unfortunately.

Ahh..there you are!
I trust you are enjoying it?

At least it keeps things simple...I can continue to hate the person who is driving round in 'my' finest piece of work, and refer to him as David. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I love that car...look after it!

I'm hearing stories of it heading out of David's driveway sidewards...fair play! Good on ya!

A very sad day indeed...I was happy in the fact that I saw the S3 regularly...now, not so. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I am led to believe it's gone to a good home though...

What a great piece of kit! I've been working 12 hour over nights this week, and took it for a 3AM trip round the local roundabouts in the wet to keep myself awake - It's so well balanced and drifts beautifully on the throtle. My passenger has an AMG 55 and he was very impressed by the performance in a straight line - He went a bit quiet after that :)

I promise I'll look after it - Optimax only and Meguires once a month.

Thank you!

I'm glad you like it...and given that you have the ability and desire to drive it 'properly' I'm sure you'll have fun.

I've never been in / driven an S3 like it...that's what it should have left the factory like...if Audi had actually put the effort in.

Enjoy humbling Evos and WRXs...

Excellent! Glad you like it and it'll suit the driveway menagerie nicely at the moment...

Such a sad moment to see it go, 30minutes of pacing up and down the driveway followed!

Only 30 mins?
You heartless sod!

I had weeks of mourning...

Never mind...I trust it's replacement is pressing the right buttons? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

These poor people...Twiddling their thumbs wondering what its been replaced by....

I'd love to say...it's stunning...a truly fine example...I should be driving it on Saturday morning (depending on how much falling down liquid myself and David consume tomorrow night - if past nights out are anything to go by, it's be a heavy night and we'll be hideously drunk and even more unwell the next day)

Anyway back to David's new steed...it's a /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shutup.gif

I'd love to help by spilling the beans...

But, I fear the bold Doctor would get 'the hump' and would ply me with excessive drink in order to make me pay!

Anyway...I'd not like to urinate on his tasty, freshly fried potatos!

Come on David...tell the boys...

and going by the view from my skylight it'll be dependant upon how much frozen sliding of the road liquid is deposited over the next few days.... brrrr!

I'll give you a few clues

1) its got 4 wheels
2) an engine
3) Its painted
4)has 2 seats...(maybe more!)

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

It is rather sexy though.. A fine example.

top clues... must be a metro! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/idea.gif

Well done! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bravo.gif

It's the acclaimed Burberry Metro!

This must be the one:

although it fails on the "It's got 4 wheels" clause..

DJ, what area of Glasgow are you about? I'm on South side - Burnside/Rutherglen. I'll be keeping an eye out for the 'beast' now that it is down in these parts !! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
