hi,how do you remove the front seats from a 2wd facelift?
Also,has anyone got a pic of the inderside of a standard seat?

You just remove the 2 plastic stops at the back of the runners, remove the stop from the front adjuster (pinch it together and pull out) then slide the seat backwards until the rear runners are clear and lift out
Look in the rear footwell and at the end of each runner there is a plastic trim which is held on with one screw. Take these off. Then look under the front of the seat and you will see a silver pin in the middle of the seat. Pull that out. Then disconnect the airbag connectors and slide the seat right back and it will slip out the runners.

Like above but it can get stuck on carpet and make it a pain to remove.
So you might have to push the carpet down while you play with the seat.
What pics are you after?
I stripped my seats down and posted pics some where.
I'm not at a PC so can't find them for you that easy at the most.
What B5s had bolt down seats?

Scott,am hoping you can remove the subframes from the oem seats,so I can weld/bolt them to my new seats

The base of the seat is welded.
To take it off you need to cut the welds.
Foxmister did what you want too do. Its in his build thread.

Yep, as Scott says i stripped mine for some custom seats, but due to my fixings being a bit awkward, and i found a supplier of proper bases to work, i bought a set made for fitting aftermarket Recaros etc. It would have worked still doing them custom like i had intended, but once you line up seats with the B5 bases, you see how little weld you will achieve mating them to another seat, and as i will have family/friends in the car and maybe do some track time, i decided the better option was the manufactured design i went with in the end.

I got my seats out my breaker earlier,and see what you mean about how little there is to weld to!
