ive had some weitec coilovers put on my 2007 s3 today and im running 8.5x19 phaeton helios,s there scrubbing quite bad and the car isnt even that low at the moment no lower than it was on h&r springs any suggestions how i stop this as i ideally want to be much lower. also has anyone had issues with weitecs as like i say there currently not that low yet there doesent seem to be much thread left to go at???????????HELP.

Are you running the helper spring still ?

8.5j should be fine without rubbing unless really low, or the offset is way out.

So whats rubbing ? As im running et45 8.5 / 9.5 19", and only had to remove the rear arch screw. Thats on Eibach Sportlines, so maybe not as low, but still 50/40mm. Can barely get a finger in the arch.

What tyre size ?

225/35/19 not sure exactly what there rubbing on but rubbing front+rear whats this screw you have removed?

Alright !! its warren from today ! they shouldn't scrub like that on them sizes really.. like i said your best trimming the plastic remove the screws thats in the arches on the front, your backs ones were out if i remember.

225 35 should be ok but 215 35 would scrub less.

On the rear arch, look where the bumper meets the arch, and theres a little torx screw, t25 i think. Could see on mine the tyre had buffed the head clean. Im running 9.5j rears with stretched 225 / 35. Same size tyres on 8.5j fronts.
Ive had no contact on the front at all.

First thing is to inspect the tyres for rub marks.
