right guys,
Im asking to see if anyone around the Wakefield area will do me a massive favour.
i have been getting prices for fitting some parts and TBH i know they are ripping me off. Im no mechanic but i know enough about cars to not get ripped off. £150 the cheapest just to replace the below parts. i know its like 3hrs work so works out at £50/hr. then they want £30 extra for brake fluid change. the ball joint is only 4 bolts and is a 10mins job.
My car is a 2000 S3 and all parts will be supplied.
Right this is what i need doing:
- Replace both Front Lower Ball Joints
- Replace both Front Track Rod Ends
- Replace both Front Strut Top Mount
Then i want the Brake Fluid changing, but the O/S/F bleed nipple is solid, so either it needs a good soaking with WD40 and some mole grips hard on. Now i know bleeding the brakes on a S3 isnt straight forward so i rather trust someone on here who knows and done it before, then let someone at a garage thats never done it on a S3.
Now i could do this myself as ive got the tools, trolley jack, axle stands, etc but currently i have damaged discs in my back and after trying to do it myself last week decided that paying someone to do it, is better than causing my lower back more pain.
Im a friendly bloke, lives in Alverthorpe Area of Wakefield, very good Tea/Coffee/bacon sandwich maker and has plenty of biscuits.
i honestly dont mind paying someone to do this.
if anyone can help or even recommend a decent garage.
Thanks, Mark
