fan type washers before snow now jet type?

hi all, before the snow my windscreen washers were the fan type now they are just jets? has the snow and ice damaged them?

my car is a 57 a3 tfsi quattro sportback.

May have grit in them? Give them a good clean, im doing my rear ones now

Were your old ones heated?

Doubt they're damaged, maybe as above some grit, get a pressure washer on them.

i'm not sure if they are heated? how do you tell? i will try and pressure wash them and see what happens
they were fine before all the snow and i didnt really use the car much then either

When changing over you would of plugged in the water pipe & the heated loom/connector at same time if they were.

i haven't touched them at all, they were fan spray when i got the car now i just get a jet

Oh, thats weird, someone must have fitted them before then, as they dont come on the car default, is there 3 jets on each side now or its all over the place, just check the washer parts & see if its just a very thin long gap on each one, that denotes fan type, for me its got crap in/blocked unless some git has nicked yours & swapped there's.

hahahaha, now there is 2 jets on each side, very strange i will check what they look like tomorrow when it's light
i thought they were on as standard?
