Only had this car a week and I must say I'm loving my first Audi. As I work in a paint shop I'm lucky enough to tinker at weekends down the workshop. Ran the mop over her today than a few coats of wax, de badged the rear and painted the chrome grill black. Still got some bits on the car I'm going to respray, bonnet wings and 1 rear quarter. The colour is actually dark blue but looks black in this pic...

Cheers fallmonk, there is a few in this tbh, and being a painter it just make things worse as you notice everything haha, I will prob work my way round the whole car after time, the 18's have slowed her down a little, but its all about the look! :)

I think that will be the same colour as mine, When polished and in good light it's a lovely colour.

Looks great but I think in good time a set of sensible lowering springs will set it off !

ImageNah not lowering it chris, just got out of a mk4 golf that was on the deck, I like abit of comfort nowadays hehe

I used to have a 3.0 Quattro sport in the same colour.

i had my lowers painted body coloured, you should do this as you work in a body shop. Makes a big difference to the look of the car.

Nah I couldnt cope having a car on it's ****,I do like comfort myself ! I have the factory standard suspension on mine but being the tdi sport it's slightly lower than yours. It's comfortable and smooth. The only aftermarket kit I would entertain fitting would be the Eibach kit which is 30mm lower than standard, 10 mm lower than mine.

I fitted this kit on my old focus, Fords sell them. Had good ride quality to be honest and there wasnt a huge difference just the ride height was perfect

is it ? it looks a lot higher than mine, mine is a 2004 with the later styled coloured bumper splitters and sideskirts. don't know about any suspesnion changes

I have 18 inch wheels

Yep defo a sport bud, the tyres are 45 profile, so maybe its that and the case of the lowers not being painted that makes it look a little higher??

the tyres are 45 profile on 18inch wheels ? need to be 40 on 18s for these, thats definatly why then ! and would also explain why it feels a little slower on acceleration.

235/40/18 you want

Haha yeah we went through this in another thread a while back, these tyres were on the rims when I bought them, 2x Pirelli and 2 Bridgestone, when it comes to changing them I'll drop the size down to 235 40 ;)
