REMAPPED VS STD S3 PERFORMANCE FIGURES

Alright Lads,

I've done a search but didnt find anything conclusive.

I've found the increase in BHP and torque.

What I need, is some info on actual changes to figures such as 0 - 60.

What is your 0 - 60 before and after a remap ?

standard s3
0-62 =7.1
0-100= 17.3

chipped s3
0-62=6.7
0-100=16.2

Obviously alot more torque so in gear times are better.
 
0-62 in 7.1?? The official figure is 6.6. Are you sure?
 
I imagine the 0-60 is around 6.0 seconds when remapped.

But this has been debated many times before - don't get hung up on 0-60 figures.

The S3 cannot get to 60 in second and the extra gear change required affects the time to 60. 0-80 or 100 is a much better figure to compare cars acceleration.

Nasty little Saxos and Pugs have good 0-60 times but beyond that they splutter and struggle, whereas the S3 just keeps on truckin'.
 
They were independantly tested figures not made up...sorry audi figures.
So were the remapped figures,the original 210 s3 when tested by autocar/evo and other publications was actually faster than the 225 figures 3 years later.Audi wouldn't cheat and give the press chipped cars though would they??!!!
 
Just to rub it in i can do 0-100 in under 12 seconds.

There was some suggestion (by Autocar if memory serves... could be wrong though) that the press Octavia RS's had a lot more power than standard. Hmmmmm!!
 
the octavia that autocar got was all Skoda until they opened the bonnet and found a 225 tt engine inside logos an all!

Yeah... I couldn't remember if they had strong evidence it was a 225 engine or just a hunch.

It was just a remapped 180. I've still got the mag somewhere. Single inter cooler, throttle body on the drivers side.

Me too. I reckon sub 11 is doable with a good start.
