Be careful if you put it their mate, i had mine their before relocating to the back ofthe car due to the smells in cabin, i do have the bonnet run strip removed though so gases where working their way up to the pollen filter area.

Mine smells like **** inside anyway haha, I'll run it as far down as I can and hopefully it will all go underneath as apposed to above. Prawns car always used to smell oily and smokey inside too, I wonder if this is why.

your going to vent the catch tank to atmos rather than the TIP or you are completely removing the catch tank and venting the block and head directly to atmos?

I'm removing the catch can, leaving the T piece and PCV hoses hooked up as they are. And then using the output on the old T Piece which went to the catch can to run down to the bottom of the engine bay where I will have it vent to atmosphere without a filter.

I'll remove the PCV puck and fit a 19mm bung in its place.

This is mine on its winter wheels.

Notice how narrow it is in the back, waiting longer wheel bolts so I can mount the 20mm spacers

And now it start to seem that the winter wheels will be necessary ;)

The guy that owns the Chinese just bought me out a tub of crispy chilli beef (he knows I love it) and said "eh, you clean car more than my wife showers!"

Hero.

Right its been a long time, the sun was out the car was clean-ish it was a good time to get the Lumix out and get some shot of my car everyone is asking for, I managed to get a bit of video with the new GoPro but there not the best as i'm still playing with it. I didn't use full throttle shifting so i took it easy if you would like to call it but the test was from 70 to 140

Look forward to seeing it mate. Was that video taken down on the m1 by any chance on the stretch towards the post office? Also the liquid gauge, does it display oil temperature on apy s3's?

Argh nice one, i was worries they didnt, i need to fill my other gauge hole and it was between a oil pressure or temp gauge. Is yours the electric version? If so how did you have to fit it etc?

So guessing their faulty then? Whats stack said about it?

Heres a photo of mine on A5 Quattro wheels. 18x8.5j with 225/40/18 Achilles tyres. 15mm adapters all round but rears need to come out a tad.

Bit late to ask maybe, but whats the benefit in doing this mod to the catch can or is it a purely cosmetic mod to the engine bay?

The best bet is if anyone wants Q&A then PM that person

I could have done that but then no one else would benefit from it, and as its just an extension of the convo being had I didnt think this would bother anyone. I hope you agree that my question and its answer would be valid to all new comers or those who have not carried out this mod.
