Getting Flashed at with headlights Dipped!!!

Hi guys,
First time post! - We just bought a 2006 A3 Quottro 3.2 and I'm getting flashed by drivers with the lights on dip.
Is there an easy adjustment as I don't think my model has the tumble adjuster I read about fitted.
I also have no access or experience with vag -com.
Maybe they just like my new car (but I somehow doubt it).
There is a little push button just under the dash illumination thumb wheel but I have no Idea what that's for.
The car had no owners manual.

have you got xeons ?
 
Not sure but i'm guessing so - They are very bright and white.
There is ****** all difference in distance when going from low to hi.
Especially with someone in the back seats.
 
best to take it to the mot place and have them on the machine and adjusted
 
Silly question alert but when you have been flashed are you driving on a bumpy road ?
 
Is it men or women flashing at you?

I noticed when I was driving my other car (CX9 which is high seated) in front of the audi, it would flash bright in the rear vision mirror as it went over bumps and they weren't exactly big bumps. (sealed main road)
I was hoping this would be sorted by lowering the low beam setting.
 
If your car has little wheel inside next to headlamp switch to adjust the beam level (consult owners manual) then you do not xenon.
With xenons, adjustment will need VCDS or a garage with similar to make the adjustment.

Its another matter if its got an HID kit.
 
Definitely no adjustment wheel so I guess its a trip to the garage!

is it possible they might have broken or loose mounts\clips allowing them to flap up\down on uneven surfaces, and that's why people are flashing you?
 
I rung the Audi specialists and they said they had never adjusted headlights with an VCDS and there should be a screw to adjust them.
I am worried they aren't as specialist as they think!
 
I've had this several times recently as well, but its usually by the idiots the drive with there sidelights and fog lights on :uhm: a quick flash back of the full beam usually stops them flashing again.
