Yes, looks like we're the minority as I hardly ever hear of any 8L's with an APS Map? I wonder why, maybe the dyno will shed some light on this. I hope we're not in for a shock. I'm fairly sure mine was done roughly the same time as yours in 2008/2009.

What do you think of the Map?

APS is not a site sponsor, and not many people know who they are? This will probably explain why not many people have their maps.
 
I have done a few 3.0v6 TDi maps on assorted vag.. A6, tuareg etc..
The A6 I did would leave my S6 for dust!
economy went from 35mpg to 50mpg too!
 
Maz - the APS map seems fine & they certainly have a good reputation for Porsche/VAG tuning. However, having not driven either a standard 210/225bhp S3 or any other mapped S3, I don't have any reference points for comparison. It ran 6.0s 0-60 & 14.44s 1/4 mile at GTI International 2011 (pre-B5 TIP) which I was happy with. Will be really interesting to see the outputs on the dyno though.

Badger 5 - that's almost tempting me to convert to a TDi. Almost.
 
Yeah APS are all good been there a number of times and the service has been great. I find its not as aggresive as a AMD map in first but once you start moving through the gears it always brings a smile to your face, nice and smooth delivery too which I hope the Dyno graphs will back up.

Not bad, I ran a 14.5 at Pod some years ago so very close (pre B5 TIP / Sachs Clutch), I'm intrigued now what figures we'll produce.

Next fitting is going to be some sort of water mist for the fmic, need to reduce the inlet temps

:) there's definitely more to use with the new downpipes too, its actually a little scary...

Pretty darn sure they did, gives a harder, longer sustained kick in the back. Im back to giggling through 2nd. PCV pipe cant have been helping though.
 
it will have contributed to the excessive oil in your pipes = timing pull... so.. fingers crossed it will sort itself out now after a few miles
 
Bill, are you OK to do the usual Prawn style one run on actuator one on boost? I'm leaving it on actuator pressure until I come up, as I'd rather have the fuelling checked during the power run to know it's semi safe at least before unleashing it on the road!

Can bring tea and biscuits if your stock is low! :wub:
