Hi,

brought a audi a3 09 plate 3 weeks ago, after two weeks the filter light came on so took for a drive and the light disappeared.

again after 1 week the light came on again and took for a drive and checked with vag-com that a mate has...the dpf filter is on 1.3 before drive it was on 39.1

i normally do 20mins drive to work in london and 20mins back home.

is it normal for the light to come on within a week.

thanks
d

Get dpf removed from ecu via a remap. Did it on my old 3.0 tdi Quattro. Best 280 quid I ever spent plus did about 50 miles per tank more. Win win

constant stop start traffic wont be good for it. the soot level will keep building. this journey of yours could you not do any detours once a week to allow the conditions for it to regen.?

if not and your keeping the car, a delete and remap is your best bet long term.

As far as im aware with the DPF once it starts it basically comes back all the time, id definitely recommend getting it removed if you have the cash. otherwise giving the car a boot along a motorway/dueller 20-30 miles should put the light off (for a while)

Hi,

im going to go for a drive to oxford on the weekend hopefully this will get rid of light for at least a month!

i have decided to get it removed as soon as i have enough cash, so far the only company i can see in london is london remaps, does anyone have reviews of this place or any other company review?

last thing i want to do is give my car to a garage im not sure about

thanks
