Evening All,

Received my genuine RT VCDS cable (a big thank you to vertigo1 for selling in the classifieds:thumbsup:) and have been having a nosey round this evening. Activated CH/LH lights (which now shows in the DIS), dials and needles constantly lit, teardrop rear wiper, advanced comfort menu and have had a play with the headlight washer timing.

My problem is after running a full scan I was presented with the following fault:

Wednesday,24,October,2012,21:04:48:06274
VCDS Version: Release 11.11.4 (x64)

Address 62: Door, Rear Left Labels: 8P4-959-801.lbl
Control Module Part Number: 8P4 959 801 E HW: 8P4 959 801 E
Component and/or Version: Tuer-SG H04 0040
Software Coding: 0000216
Work Shop Code: WSC 00046 412 1012544
VCID: 41A7959A189148106EB
2 Faults Found:

00098 - Left Rear Central Locking (Safe) Motor (V163)
012 - Electrical Fault in Circuit - Intermittent
00930 - Locking Module for Central Locking; Rear Left (F222)
008 - Implausible Signal - Intermittent

I cleared this and all seemed to be good. After being out in the car again and plugging it back into VCDS the same fault is back. Door locks fine and there doesn't seem to be any obvious issue.

Anyone had this before or can shed any light on it? I've had a look at the RT Wiki.

Cheers

Try clearing, locking, unlocking, locking, unlocking, start car check for faults again.

The repeated lock/unlock allows the signals to be read correctly I find, as once only seems to not clear these types of errors, it may come back, but try this 1st.

The fact its intermittant, it maybe a slight fault with the lock, but see how things go.

Nigel,

Thanks for the reply. I'll give it a go this weekend; fingers crossed its that simple.
