I'm used to having diagnostics software and remapping software for my previous car's so was wondering what people are using on their VAG cars.

I'm not too interested in remapping software at the moment !!! but would be interested to know what I need to read and reset fault codes and general diagnostics/VAG Comm utilities.

I have a Tactrix OpenPort 1.4 OBD Cable that I used for logging and flashing Subaru (it also supports EVO's) but I guess this isn't compatible with VAG.

Any info, sources or suggested cables appreciated.

Sorry I'm sure you've all been asked this many times before......

Regards

Vagcom / VDCS is the best for VAG vehicles for diag and logging. You need different cables for flashing

Are official version available or is everyone using hacks.
In both cases where can I obtain

thanks

Forum doesnt support any hacked/cloned software/hardware mate & no links etc of said items are allowed either.

I'm an official seller of vcds genuine cables, PM me if of use.

I'm also interested in this, how much does it cost to be fully up and running this software? Is it easy to use for someone that hasn't used it before? Total n00b when it comes to things like this :/ thanks.

£250 delivered & yes its fairly easy to use :)

Does VagCom Lite support the B7 which I think is Can bus ?

cheers

The B7 uses CAN bus and dual K-lines. CAN bus is mainly for powertrain (engine, ABS, etc.) with the dual K-lines for the rest of the 30+ ECUs.

So Ross-Tech Lite won't let me read and clear error codes or monitor things like MAF, Lambda and Throttle Angle then ????
