Hi, help needed near Keighley

Hi all, long time lurker and just registered to the best Audi forum on the net.

I currently have a modified 1.8t 8l but am looking at an 8p. Only thing is there's no real history with the car and I'd love for someone to help with VAGCOM and any keen eye advice they could offer.

I live on the Wirral which is a 90 mile drive away. I went to look at the car today and it looked ok.

If there's anyone in the area who is willing and able to run VAGCOM on the car then I would be most grateful, and will of course pay for their time and help.

Edit, the car is at a non main dealer in Keighley.
 
Hi, welcome to audi-sport.net. Yes we are the best Audi forum on the net. I have put a link in below for vcds user map. Have a look at the map, click a blue balloon in your area, this pops up a box on the top left hand side with the users details. Send them a pm telling them what your looking for and they will get back to you. :) x

Mesa - there are a few guys around Bradford that have Vag-Com. Give 3.2 Ju or nad a try. Think mikefoster is close too? Cant be sure.
 
Sorry JS3, I'm nearer Wakefield and, whilst I would like to help, I cannot really spare the time to travel to Keighley. Mesa, they are obviously wanting to sell the vehicle so why don't you ask them to get a dealer scan and email it to you ? Any hesitation on their part could indicate that you don't want it anyway !!!

Hope you get sorted.
 
Im From Queensbury 15 min from Keighley but only have a basic code reader, if thats any good to you
 
** UPDATE **

Thanks for all the help and advice everyone. Turns out the garage selling the car has a dodgy reputation and as it has a facelift conversion and S3 bodykit (on S-Line) I think it's best to stay clear.

audi upgrades
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THE KEIGHLEY TRADE CENTRE.

Don't buy a sausage roll from them.

I live in Keighley, well near it.. Hear some right stories about them. If it's not the trade centre which garage is it? Chances are i'll know of them and if i don't my mate will.
 
It's the "Supercars" one, with all the Ferrari etc.

I kind of had an idea that was the one you were on about.
Been in there a few times and always walked out very dissapointed realising the cars are cheap for a reason!
 
Hahahahaha, not the keighley trade center!!!, do as everybody says fella, walk away!!

I used to live just down the road from them, bad news.
