Ok.......I made the decision to change the Speedlines.....fabulous wheels but I am not a great one for cleaning the car all the time and now that we have moved into the country, the car is filthy even more often so an easier wheel to clean was essential, but it still had to look good.......so..........( excuse the picture quality.....i-phone pics !! )...
Before:
After :
Genuine RS3 Rotors ( from Germany ) and the Eibach Pro front springs and the transformation is complete.
Popped over to see Ed at APS in Brackley for the springs and to swap the wheels and tyres, and I have to say I am really impressed with the set-up they have. Small but very professional and customer service is second to none....i'll definately be using them again as they are a breath of fresh air !
My first impressions of the Eibach's is pretty much as others have said......the stance is much better without the huge gap between thre front tyres and the wheelarch as it looks more balanced now, ride quality is pretty close to OE except on very slow speed town roads and on everything else, the body control is much better with the car much more eager to change direction and no 'wallowy' feeling if you have to turn in as the road drops away.....very nice.
And THAT IS IT.....nothing else to do, and 'she-who-must-be-obeyed' will file for divorce if I spend any more money on the car, but to be honest it is as good as I want a daily-driver to be now anyway, and definately improved over standard so I am happy to call a halt to the mod's......kind of......for now......probably....
