I have a creeking and sometimes a knock inside it sounds like its under the middle of the dash (under the car). The only thing I can see is the dog bone round that area. Is that most likely it? I would get down n dirty to look but its pissin it down. If its that do I go standard, powerflex yellow or powerflex red? Cheers :)

do not get a power flex unless your tracking it. They are horrible for everyday driving.
They rattle the car to bits

I've heard red is ok, and yellow you need idle reset with vcds to compensate for vibration ......... Red is labelled diesel btw.

I have done some research and like you both say yellow = no go...... so I will be getting the red diesel one, apparently it will fit fine and I should have no issues and will last unlike standard.

I fitted the Red Powerflex into my dogbone literally yesterday and it's fine. There is absolutely no extra vibrations and the engine now doesn't sway about like mad lol. Go for the powerflex red, no worries with them

i will be investing in the red one soon and if it makes the car feel like a tank i will be selling on lol

I disagree with anyone say the yellow powerflex mount is too stiff, you need to give it time to settle in.

I've run the yellow mounts on many cars, for myself and others, for years. they settle down after 500 miles or so and you don't notice it at all.

I've got the red one and its fine no vibration at all.

I'd agree with Prawn. The dogbone bushes need time to bed in a little. I just fitted a VF dogbone (much harsher than a yellow I'd expect) and that took some time to settle in, but now it feels much tighter than the red bush, which I like. I did fit VT top engine mounts prior and that was a good combination too (VT top engine mounts, red dogbone bush) if you like being a little less "connected".

The VF doesn't have much give:

Worth noting a lot of people don't change the small bush, which I've heard helps too (makes sense).

I don't know if i am reviving an old thread I have a vrs with the bwa engine does anyone have a part number for powerflex dog bone bush that goes in the gearbox side of the dog bone mount

I don't have a TFSI so can't really tell you what that is but... this is the diagram off the link I gave you... use that to find the one you need..

I have the red poweflex it's quite good as mentioned above its for a diesel but works with a 3inch downpipe..
There's 2 bushes on the dogbone so get both helps keep the undertrain from moving about a little.

which number from the diagrams do I need?
