Let me know please if I can use it or if you are interested in it?

Thanks! :)

i dont think you can! i think you need the wider wings! could be wrong though!

You need the wings Defo .......

Can the wings not be rolled to suit the bumper, something I was considering? If so what are the costs for something like that and how well will they get them looking compared to OEM ones?

The wings were the only thing that stopped me doing this to a nice TFSi I was eyeing up

I read that it was possible, it was a ebay seller though so I'm not sure :)

I found a righgt damaged wing for 150 GBP.. It could be done with the damage parts, which I will do! :))

I'll be the first transformer here I guess, an overseas part importing one LoL :)

You need the wings & no you cant roll them with any degree of success.

I seen the same wing but the wings are carbon reinforced plastic, maybe you can repair this in the same way. I'd be interested to hear if you could. There's also a wing on ebay.de the opposite side to the one on uk ebay. I think he wanted €240 for it.

Let us know how you get on kemiksiz

Hahah thanks Amar,

The buggy seler is creating some isues from his a$$ about shipping but I'll solve it on Monday :)

AMAR; your pm box is full mate so here you are;

Hi Amar :)

It will be 550 GBP as total.. Just let me know asap coz I'll be having it shipped on Monday to me, if you want we have to finish this deal weekend :)

Thanks!

SORRRY for writing here, could not find any chance :)

I have been looking to do an S3 conversion but have always wanted the RS3 rear diffuser instead of the S3 one .I managed to find a guy on ebay germany that has rear S3 and RS3 bumpers brand new and in any colour ,i told him what i wanted to do and he said the RS3 bumper will fit,i replied stating the RS3 wings are wider than A3/S3 and he claimed his friend has put it on a A3 and it fitted perfectly ,Im about to place my order in the next couple of days but i want to make sure it will fit as it will be a waste of €100 shipping if it is too wide ,does anyone have the dimensions of the RS3 bumper to see the actual difference in width ?

the rear lower vallance and trim is alll you need if you already have a 5 door s3 bumper ask amar he has done it afaik

I have a normal s-line/black edition bumper what is all in one part,i was going to buy a normal S3 bumper and remove the diffuser and then cut a bit out like amar said to make the rs3 diffuser fit.The seller on ebay says i just buy the RS3 bumper all in one as it will fit my A3 ,he is a big time seller who buys direct from audi germany so i doubt he's just saying that to sell the bumper off .My dilemma is that i think it will be too wide as the RS3 has wider
Wings ,Can anyone confirm
100% that it does not fit as i really want it to fit as it will make my life so much easier and cheaper

the rear bumper from what i have seen is the same upper part as the prefacelift sline and s3. the rear lights are exactly the same so i cannot see the fittings being any different on the back.
the front however is much wider

Why are people not doing this mod?
Im not made of money :(

How much are we talking about here?
Approximately 1500 after paint, and thats not including the engine and the ttrs manual 6 speed box ;)

If the wings a so expensive, how hard can it be to make reps?
its not just a case of making reps, there are other manufacturing costs involved for essentially an obsolete chassis the start up tooling cost would be farr too large, the best way to approach the wings would be to have them fabricated, there arent many good enough to make a satisfactory finish and those who are youd be as well buying the wings!

If this is the case then i am one happy man :) This seller says he will pay for postage back is it doesnt fit so i have nothing to lose ,am having a hard time finding side skirts though :(

Good luck with fitting them your going to need it ...lol

a$$ selller did not send it but I'm still chasing on the parts on ebay.. Sooner or later, my car will have an RS3 outlook.. I'll let you know about the additional HP increase after I done the transformation :) :p

Now first of all I'm getting done my FACELIFT, it has been 2 weeks since the car is in shop, its about to be finished.. I'll put picss..

Just buy an rs3.....

I just about get insurance on a 140 TDI so getting an RS3 is out of the question ,as i have a black edition i don't see the point in going for the grey S3 diffuser when the RS3 gloss black one will be perfect,i would never badge my car as a S3/RS3 though .

just an update...
the rs3 front bumper can work with the front wings but the wings need to be flared out to match the bumper. it doesnt follow the perfect curvature as the oem RS3 wings but it doesnt look that bad.

here is the front pic of an rs3

and here is pic of the rs3 front bumper with standard a3 wings ( i was working on this car today)

How can you say he's badging the bumper not the car!?:lmfao: that's just silly:wacko: I don't disagree with changing the grille - the RS honeycomb does look rather nice.. but the fit on that bumper is terrible! And leave the Rs3 badge off 100%..

As for Replica cars - no I'm not a fan.. especially when it doesn't compare in terms of performance.. One of my few exceptions to that would be the SWB Dialynx (as you'd be extremely luck to get an original Sport Quattro).. but each to their own i guess:huh:

that bumper has been pulled in loads to make it fit, i bet there are a few ziptie holding it lol!

who needs wheel spacers. just tuck the body work in. no worries. ;)

Haha lol performance aside, you just hate the fact someone can replicate ur 40k car using some cheap junkyard car. I presume you're buying the car for the performance, so I don't see why it bothers you, unless of course you're buying it for other reasons. And you don't want replica spoiling your...

Says who mate? :p The badge is clearly on the bumper, whereas on the back it's on the boot. Any definitive car stats are always on the rear of the car.So as far as I'm concerned, it's all down to personal interpretation
A badge replicates nothing.. It doesn't have the 5 cylinder variable turbo for starters, let alone the rest of the bits..
But by your logic the badge on the rear designates that it has an rs3 boot...? Badging something as something else (regardless of badge location on the car) is the whackest move anyone could ever make - OEM FTW.. This is my "personal interpretation"

You guys know Thailand right?? loads of things aren't what they seem....

Frankly, not cool.

Its gotta be the real deal, or not at all.

Or at least if you are going to do it, do it right.

no from what i saw the bumper isnt pulled in, the arch has been rolled out but its not until today that i have seen how wide those front RS3 arches are. as you can see from the above pics the rs3 bumper has a curve going outwards and the RS3 arch carries on that curve as it gets wider.
now the owner of the car has had the original arch push outwards so that it meets the rs3 bumper but it still follows the profile of the tyres... having seen it up front i have to say the car does look quite good and it would take a good couple of looks to tell that its been retrofitted.

he does also have the rs3 skirts, rear bumper and spoiler on the car, lowered and sitting on 19's Kahn alloys with a custom interior retrim the car does look smart but i personally do not like the RS3 bumper, those flared intake grills where the fogs would be do not do it for me.

i didnt take any more pics as i told the owner to come and do the honors and show his car off... yes he has the badges on the car and yes i did criticise him for it but its his car and its his choice.

lets hope to see his thread... but for info purposes the bumper does fit the car with the standard wings with some modifications

Haha lol chill, How to start an argument online:
1. Express an opinion
2. Wait
Again ur focusing on the performance, I couldn't care less about the 5 cylinder blah blah. I don't drive around on the public roads like it's a race track. Infact, I'm probably one of those people you overtake day in and day out. Visual mods on the other hand :yum:.
I hope more people do this mod now :lmfao:
A "visual mod" should look good - which that does not by any stretch of the imagination.. neither does it convincingly look anything like an RS3 .. and for the record I didn't buy my car based on worrying about what anyone else thinks - that's just shallow dude :lmfao:

Remove the badge (which just says "I'm a liar") and it will look 50% better straight away
