Stiff stearing on my 08 B8....

Hi all need some advice,

Iv got a a4 b8 se on a 2008 08 plate. I found the stearing quite stiff and heavy compared to my 8p a3 wch i though was probly standerd as it is a bigger car. However i drove a 2009 and a 2011 a4 and the stearing on them was so much lighter. They were exactly like my a3 was.

Is this usual on the 2008 a4? Is there anything i can do to get the stearing lighter?

The steering can be adjusted with VCDS to make it lighter or heavier. Look on the VCDS map on here to find somebody close to you who can do it.

I'm in the same boat (well, it does feel like a boat sometimes with the heavy steering).

I was told it was because there is no servotronic steering option specified when the original owner bought it, so I've just stuck with it.

Can someone confirm that it can definitely be adjusted via VCDS?
 
Yea it can definatly be done by vcds getting mine done today.
