Hi guys, sorry to bump this but I really need answers
I was led to believe on this forum that the valence and diffuser are two separate pieces that need to be bought separately
However, a local parts supplier is adamant that they are one piece and did not become two pieces until the 8P3 honeycomb type diffuser. I showed him the picture of the car posted above and he is positive that the valence/diffuser are one piece
I called Audi to try and get confirmation and they were less than useless. They said that there are 4 or 5 different diffusers that it could be but they think that they know which one I wanted, but they couldn't be totally sure. To be sure though, they had to order it in.... and get this, if it isn't the right diffuser I still need to buy it, because they don't accept refunds on this type of order. What a joke.
I asked if I could at least have the part number of the diffuser in question so that I could cross reference with you guys on here to be sure it was the correct one before ordering, but they refuse to give out part numbers - apparently they're sick of people phoning up for part numbers then going somewhere else to buy the parts. Again, what a joke.
So please guys, if anybody knows the part number I would really appreciate if you could post it for me!

My friend at audi has just ordered me one, the new style one he has got in is definately 1 piece as i have seen it and lined it up against my 8P2 Sline rear bumper, however i think the older ones might be 2 piece but not 100%
Think you may have that the wrong way around mate. There seems to be a lot of confusion surrounding these! lol
From what I've gathered today (though I could very well be wrong), the whole lower section of the bumper on the pre-facelift S3 is one piece;
Then we had the facelift, where the lower section of the bumper and the platinum grey diffuser itself became two separate pieces that need to be purchased separately;

Just picked up my diffuser
As above, the pre-facelift S3 diffuser is one piece. It comes in a platinum grey finish. The top section needs to be sprayed to match your car, the actual diffuser section can either be left platinum or sprayed a colour of your choice
This is the part number I used to order - 8P3 807 434 G 1RR
It was £100 inc. VAT from TPS

Well done for clearing up mate, although the one my guy showed me was definately the newer style and was one piece so maybe there are a few different variants?
