Finally getting coilovers fitted

Alright folks!!!

Just a quick question...

I have a 2002 quattro 8l but wondered does the 8l quattro have the same ARB as the TT quattro?

If so then i dont need to change the arb to avoid rubbing on the driveshafts issues which would be nice.

Thought id best get some pics up of my car since I got it lowered on the coilovers.


Really happy with it now, just need some spacers and the adjustable tie bars once funds allow.


What do you guys think of the height, it 's lowered all the way down on the back with the adjusters in but thinking the front may be a tad too low compared to the back, your thoughts?


Oh and no driveshaft rub with the quattro :)


Keeping the original wheels that are on it now, they are 225/45/17.

I will be taking some more pics in a mo, hoping you guys can advise on spacer size for the front and rear.

That being said its an a3 not an s3 so the arches are not as wide.
 
So guys im running my original 225/45/17 alloys and looking to widen the stance now, any ideas which size spacers I should go for?

Cheers John. Would these not be too wide though as my car is an a3 and not an s3 so the arches are not as wide.

Other peoples thoughts would be nice too?
 
Wow that would be fat as funk with the 20/30 spacing Karl.

I think ill go with the 15/20 spacing just in case those last ones you suggested are too wide and make the wheels stick out past the arches being as mine is an a3.

Think ill go for the ones John suggested as they are a cheaper lol.

One more thing... Will the bolts that come with the spacers be the right ones for my standard alloy wheels? As there are standard alloys and aftermarket alloys.

Dont want the bolts pulling through the alloys lol.

Ps if anybody has any of the above spacers/bolts for sale pm me :)

Much better car will look spot on with some spacers? just a quick question how far down did you wind the coilovers? just wondering as im after some cheapies. cheers.

Thanks mate, We just wound the adjusters down equally on each side so I cant give an exact figure lol, once the wheels where back on though it was about right height wise so its just been left a that for now.

When I get my spacers i will get it set up properly but still undecided what spacers to get yet :banghead:
