My original rubber bush was past its best could feel the engine rocking when i came on and off the accellerator. I changed it today for powerflex polyurathane bush its a a3 1.8t. But it feels different car car seems to vibrate alot more if that makes sense and when i come to a junction and still moving i pull out in second before it was fine now whole car shakes.. I have only done a few miles with it in will it bed it or stay like this? I think i will put a new standard one back in if they are always like this...

Regards Tom

what colour did you go for red or yellow?

as said they do soften up a bit, have heard if you tighten up the dogbone centre bolt to much can also cause a harsher ride

Yellow needs to be 12lb of torque on the main bolt or your teeth will start to fallout.

You should have bought the red one that powerflex specify for diesel A3's. I replaced my std s3 one with the red powerflex and the car changes gear and drives much better now! Best £20 i've spent on the car I think!

clean all of the old bush out of the mount it makes a difference.
then tighten as above, slight vibration at first (red bush) but soon settles down (200 miles or so)

I have a similar problem with my diesel bush, car vibrates a lot more, the mount was fully cleaned and torqued up correctly. The guys at the turbo unit in Tamworth suggested it could be my dual mass on its way out but that's a 'could' I won't know untill its changed.

cheers for the help. i havnt done couple hunerd miles yet soon as i have if its no better i will take it all apart again and make sure its spick and span then torque to above not torqued to "****** tight"

I wolud change these pieces but because I talk english very bad I've too many doubts: I don't realize yet how many must change (of gearbox only, or of engine too, or more others), and I don't understand what colour type choose (yellow/red, purple/black). I've the 2nd-->3rd gear crunch on high revs problem, this is the only reason I would change these pieces. Thank you and sorrym because I know you just explain sure, but with my dictionary I'm not able enough to understand technical terms, so please if you can post links where buy what I need only so I'll understand sure. Sorry again.
