A short while ago I picked up a bottle of this due to the engine feeling sluggish on the odd occasion. Such as a drop in power during acceleration. I still get this sometimes but not always daily.

I had a thought to clean out the injectors and try and rid of some of possible 'water' that sits in the tank. The car is now on 100,000+ miles and I know for a fact the injectors have never been cleaned out nor the tank.

Just wondering whether it's actually worth using it. I know the Octane Booster stuff is no good for the engine as it only takes a small amount for your engine to rely upon it. Will thisa cause similar issues?

Iv used redex before this it's the same sort of thing, It does what it says I the tin I suppose, as log as you get the mixture right and don't go over it I can't see anything wrong with it

You would def have better results with the ultrasonic cleaner....

I have read up about this previously. It's a case of taking the injectors off and replacing with new seals?

Would this stuff be OK to use for the time being or shall I leave it completely?

J.Lydamore - did you notice any differences with the Redex?

I seem to remember TopGear doing an experiment with these types of products and they made no difference in fact some even made the car perform worse

when i used it, it was on my old fiesta, it used to hold back and run lumpy, and yes to an extent it did feel like a smoother drive, i have seen another product from redex thats one shot, think its the same thing but more concentrate, and at the end of the day, its only a fiver so its worth a shot!

^^^Yeah I get what you mean mate.

This is what I'm worried about. I would love to do the Ultrasonic cleaner really.

Did an Ultrasonic the other day, easy job and there is a great guide on here. Just dont drop the clips, i did this and had to fish them out with a magnet

I used to use wynns on my old peugeot but then i realised it was all a placebo.

Now i just use proper fuel 99 octane and it seems to make the car run better.

I use V-Power but there are the odd flat spots so may be a case of slightly blocked injectors with it clocking over 100,000miles.

I'm looking at having the FPR cleaned soon and the throttle body readdapted.
