Auto check symbol on DIS - what does it mean?

Hi,

The DIS has been showing a 'yellow' fault - but the symbol it is showing isn't in the manual. Can anyone help identify what it means.

The symbol, in yellow, is like this (O). It is like symbol you get when a brake light bulb goes, but without the bulb in the middle. I thought it would be another bulb of some sort so have turned everything on - hazards, main & full beams, front & rear fogs etc. but the are all working.

I through all the symbols and the rest are as they are in the book, i.e:
Brake Light out
Sidelight/rear light out
The mystery one (O)
Washer fluid
Fuel
Battery

Isnt that usually the brake pads symbol! Or possibly handbrake! (O)

I don't think it is the brake pads as that is a 'priority one' red symbol - i.e. get it sorted ASAP. That is the same symbol with a ! in the middle. I don't think it is the handbrake either as it comes on before I take the handbrake off.

got the same problem. Spoke to amd yesterday who confirmed it was brake pads. Apparently the priority 1 alarms mean pull over & stop driving now. Whereas he reckoned you've probably got about 1k left on the brake pads once the (0) symbol is shown.

I thought it was the brakes. Hope you get it sorted quick jcs.

Thanks for your help everyone. Going in on Friday for them to check. If it is the brakes, perhaps it is time for me to bite the bullet and get those Brembos! AmD here we come.....
