Well after getting all the parts together and getting some spare time to do it I did the single to double din conversion today.
I'm not going to bother with a how-to as there are plenty of them about the internet.
Here's all the bits
The hardest bits were taking the single din cage out and fitting the double din cage. At one stage during removal of the single cage I thought I was about to break the right hand side of the dash off it was bent that much. Anyway I got it all done, patience is the key. And don't be afraid of using the dremel on the climatronic unit
I replaced the pollen filter while I was at it, it was in a state with leaves and load of crap falling out of it.
So here's the usual before/after picture....
