Back from a great day @ R-Tech!!!

Yeah sorry prawn whoops lol just was reading it out to nick on the vagcom and kept thing percent rather then angle thanks for sorting it out

Good job mate, aint waited about getting it all done have you.

Rtech deffinitely is the place to take the 1.8T.

Will be back up there soon a3ah! Got a new maf coming and coolant temp getting done then it's ready for more boost!!

Yeah I saw in the previous posts that it needed a few things. Good luck man hope it all goes well.

90% of throttle was after cleaning it?

The plastic on the TB get worn done (where the black plastic dics meets the metal leaver) If your getting low throttle readings via VCDS you need to clean and adapt ecu then dremil the metal off the upper opening stop on the TB, keep grinding bits off until the reading stops going up. It should end up around 84-87% on a few I have managed 89%.

I will try and make a quick iphone video tomorrow, its better then me trying to put it in words which I am crap at...lol

The main load/boost request maps are based on this throttle % reading, I bet there are 1000s of AGUs out there with less the 80% opening and the map not running its full power.

I really appreciate how much time and effort you have put into your review and feedback. Thanks for the kind words it really gives me and the team (Rob Jim and Ben) a huge buzz when we find topics like this, Its nice to know all the extra effort and hard work we try to put in to every car does not go unoticed.

I look forward to giving you some more boost, my worry was the turbo no being/looking like an OEM KKK unit? Thats the reason for not going much over 1bar at this stage. Next time around i will tune it as if its an OEM kkk, if its not up to the job and it fails we have a few k03s knocking around we can get fitted within the hour...lol

Thanks again :blackrs4:
Nick

that video would be great nick.

i should be booking mine(K03/agu Rtech stage1) in for the same treatment as soon as i get my TIP and install everything else for the mapping. just a quick one, would it be possible to remap with the standard SMIC installed then once the money allows install a FMIC at a later date?

cheers
tom

Ben mention your email, he put it in my inbox with over 100 more emails..lol I have been looking at pictures and I am 99.9% sure its not oem kkk. If I am wrong I will eat my oil filter....lol I will drop you a line tomorrow Bobby.

Take care

TBH if you bought it new for less that about £700 it won't be a genuine item.

The main issue is non consistancy, some people have no problems, others have catastrofic failures. Doesn't seem to be an in between.

Good luck

CAr is now booked back In on the 28th march can't wait! Many thanks nick!
