3inch back stainless 1 small box
silicon tip
panel filter and drilled box
007p
revo stage 1 remap
powerflex dog bone ect

the car was read as 204bhp and 232ftlbs

the cars boost gauge is reading 1.5 bar but its not holding the boost, it will go to 1bar then at bout 4k peaks at 1.5 bar and will then drop off at 0.9 bar :(

what i want to know is 3 things

1. can i get it to hold the boost for longer
2.awesome gti said i can use a boost controller to get little more from the car as the agu doesnt have a map sensor?
3.n249 bypass? wrth doing

Both good and bad news matey.

Good news is, it sounds like your car is running absolutely spot on

Bad news is, without changing the turbo, you won't get anything more from that engine, not a single bhp.

Generally speaking, the ko3 turbo is absolutely done at 190-195bhp, and very few make above 200bhp ever, I know there's an element of dyno lottery involved, but if you've made 205bhp/232bhplbft, then that's ****** good going.

Boost dropping off is just something you'll have to live with I'm afraid, the tiny turbo is absolutely flat out producing your figures, and won't be capable of delivery any more boost no matter how you try to control it.

As for the N249 bypass, the Agu doesn't have one to bypass! N249's were fitted to later AUM engine'd cars, so don't worry about that.

Also, your boost sounds pretty high as well, is it a decent guage? I've never heard of a ko3 that could produce 22psi at all, and especially not one that could hold 13psi anywhere near the redline.....

ye gauge is fine tested it, cd it be cs its calibrated off the FPR?

thanks for ure help :) ,,, atm im thinking of bigger turbos ect but the cars probably going to be broken soon and fitted into a mk2,, but still want it running right ect ,,, 161k on the clock :) still going

i would be happy with 22PSI. i got all the same mods as you (AGU lump aswell) mine peaks at 15PSI and will trail off to 9/10PSI higher up the revs

Jays boost is far more typical of an AGU of that spec to be honest mate, boost dropping off is simply what the tiny ko3 turbo does.

Be happy that it's running well, bang it into a mk2 golf, and have a proper weapon!
