Just purchased a 2011 A5 2-0 tdi 170 s-line special edition in arctic, just wondering the best options for a remap, I had my last A4 143 teased by CNL remapping and had no problems, Just wondering if anyone has had a remap done , by whom and are you pleased with the results in performance and any impact on fuel consumption?

the ECU is secured with punch bolts that shear off thereby making them tamperproof.
but somone with good knowledge can drill these bolts off to free the ECU.
once the ECU is off then it can be connected to a the mappers PC or LAPTOP
and the software can be loaded on.
thats what happened to my car when i had it remapped by an APR agent.

It's a EDC17 Tricore ECU and it will be TP as well. Most tuner can do these now but it has to be done in Boot mode. This does mean that your ECU will be coming apart. The ECU is then boot loaded and off you go. The Revo system is quite clever as once it has been Boot loaded it can then be OBD flashed by them as the TP has been turned off.
