2.0 T FSI Buying Advice

That is cheap. When I bought my 2006 2.0 TFSI Sport it was up for almost double that, but that was about a year and a half ago and mine only had about 40k miles and is DSG.

I reckon for a low/average mileage S-line SE you'd usually be looking at about £8k and upwards.
Therefore straight away you've got a £2.5k buffer for repairs before you would've paid too much for it. Although £2.5k is easy to spend on repairing an Audi if something like the turbo etc goes.

Also bear in mind that by the time you come to sell it its going have even more miles on it and will be murder trying to find a buyer.

I would prefer to pay more and get a lower mileage car if funds permitted. But if it was this car or nothing then I might take a punt.

Good price,but the mileage works out to 30 000 per year,which is a bit high....you would need to be sure that the brakes,suspension and turbo were in good nick.

Not really. But the K03 2.0T is less common than the most of the other engines in the 8P range so maybe there aren't enough owners/complaints for people to be aware of common problems.
Maybe have a look for info on similar aged Golf GTI engine reliabitily or common issues/faults as its the same engine.

There's not much that really needs looking at aside from the things already mentioned,and making sure that the turbo doesn't smoke on the over-run,and that the servicing has been done regularly and properly.
