substitue clay lube?

Hi Guys

any ideas on a substitute for clay lube? i have ran out mid claying through my car!! i know i know i should have checked how much i had but i have ran out!!

also i live on the isle of skye and running to the nearest auto shop is 2 hours away!!!

any hel;p much appreciated
 
you could use Car shampoo & water mix in spray bottle, then for next time get yourself the Bilthamber clay bar ( as you only need to use water with it!)

Don't use a shampoo solution; it can degrade your clay bar. I've seen this done and bits of clay fall off; clay's abrasive and you'll end up marring the surface.

If you don't have any dedicated clay lube, use plain warm water and work carefully. Keep the clay in plenty of hot water too to keep it supple.
