A4 N/s/r electric window control unit?

Hey people,

I have a question for any anoraks/GURUs or ex dealer techs. My N/s/r electric window doesn't work with the passenger switch.However it does work with the drivers multi-switch.I am a technician for vauxhall by trade and have ruled out the wiring harness on the door card and the single switch on the card.everything else on the door is functional.

There is a control unit on the window regulator motor itself and as the window works by the drivers control ok and the switch/wiring checks out ok I'm inclined to suspect this unit as faulty.My question is, is this unit common/uncommon to failure?.

the vehicle is a 2001 b6.

Any light shed on this will be appreciated. thanks in advance.

It turned out to be the door control unit.so if anyone has the same symptoms as described before that's what the problem
Is likely to be.no replies so I'm guessing this may not be a common issue.
