Well gents, it took a while (almost two month) but the S has finally been sold. Off to a chap in Cardiff. Hope he takes good care of it. What a car it was over the two years.

But like all good things, they come to an end.

Still, with the car being sold, free's up the cash to go and buy something else!

Got told about this car on Friday night and by Saturday afternoon, It was bought!

Fair change fromt the Audi I have to say but by christ it goes.

Enter Stage Left:

98S Lotus Esprit V8GT Twin Turbo.

This car is a whole new fast. Its like nothing I have ever sat in!

Hi guys,

its gun metal grey (sure Lotus will have some fancy name though!)

as for insurance, dunno. Thankfully I work for my old boy at has garage at weekends so covered by his work insurance!! Bonus!

Mpg? Whats that! More like mmpg . .. thats millimeters to the gallon!

Couldn't say Jojo, it has no fuel computer, no trip gauge just a f**koff engine, two seats and my massive grin in it!

Grant, gimmie a clue on how to and I'll get one up pronto!

congrats!!
looked at them for a while but could not find one in good condition in my budget. Budget is now even lower so wont even bother now

You may already have but check if the gearbox has been upgraded. I heard that they were made from renault and were cr*p. I may have a video of a guy explaining all that.
will look for it.

glad you all like it lads! Here what you are saying about a bit 80's. Infact, if you look deap enough its a but 70's too!

I've had ear ache for the last couple of weeks so hadn't been able to hear it properly, but was out in it last night with two perfectly working ears, my god, you wanna hear the induction! Sounds like you are gonna get sucked in through the back window, then the turbos from either side of the cabin, let off and it sounds like its gonna blow you out of your seat! Brilliant I love it!

I am trying to put gear boxes ect out of my head and just enjoy the drive. I'll worry about it WHEN it f**ks up not IF it f**ks up. Albeit the last one is rather optimistic with it being a Lotus after all! Ha, ha, ha ! Just hope it ain't too expensive !

Number plate is being changed on Thursday, EVERYONE mensions the plate SUX. It really does SUCK Donnit!

Nice car, Hope all goes well. Be careful of the gearbox, they originally came from a Renault 21 and are prone to breaking.

cool job man! Yes its out and about quite alot at the moment, can keep out it!

And here was my Mrs thinking GT4 was a widow maker! Ha, ha, ha!

Snoop, you will just be the man to ask matey... How often would you receommend changing the timing belts? Its done 28K. Been told every 15K or two years but seems a tad exessive??

How do you meen 'Safe' ?

@ Dicky Boy, yeah mate, I know about the boxes! Just know hard starts! It doesn't really like it in the dry anyway. Bangs up and down from a standing start, not pleasant!

when i say safe, i mean like safe as fu@k. will have a chat to one of the guys in the service garage about your timing belts on monday. i never had much to do with esprit, mainly elise and vx220. enjoy. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/noidea.gif
