Hi Folks, been registered to the Forum for a while now but have not long got my car so i thought

i'd better say hello and post some pics of the car, also i'd like to say that having read many of the

threads in the A3 section that the information you have all posted has been extremely helpful for

when i start to do a few mods!!

Well the car is a 55 plate 2.0 Tdi 140 Quattro S-line in Missano Red,

has half leather interior and also a Sunroof although just how often i can

use it in Aberdeen remains to be seen!!!

Beautiful mate, although im a bit biased, I've almost got the exact same car!

You'd be surprised how often you'll get the sunroof open

Not much happened recently but got myself a private plate and done a bit of Carbon 3m film wrapping,

Number plate:




B Pillar on the drivers side was scabby as picture below shows so i thought i would wrap both sides

in 3m Carbon film, ordered the film that Mark M recommended and it's very easy to use just had to take

my time as it was the first time.



Just had to drill out the 3 pop rivets and gentle pull away from the back window is it clips onto

the window, next was to sand the worst of the original film cover and wipe down with white spirit



Next was to start the wrapping, dont have any pics of during as it was getting ****** fiddly

but here's the finished product, not perfect but as near as i could get for a first time,









Repeated the process for the passengers side but didn't need to sand away the existing film

the Pop riveted the pillars back being carefull not to nip the door seal while doing it!!

Next on the cards are new wheels which are on order and maybe suspension!!

Very nice mate! A colleague of mine has ordered the same car and colour, just a different spec is all. Nice Carbon modding too, braver than me!

Got myself some shiny BBS VZ's and had H&R springs fitted about 4 weeks ago and

also bought some updated rear lights, Pics Below!!







I thinks the car has settled fine now on the new springs and feels really good on the road compared

to the original S-line springs so it's all good, What to do next ?? Updated Bumpers or a Remap ?? tough one!!!

that looks a lot better u goin to do sline bumpers?
 
Hi Nally, yea S-line smoothed bumpers next as the bumpers are needing painted anyway so i might as well

change them at the same time, trying to find 2005-2008 second hand smoothed bumpers is turning out to be

trickier than i thought and no doubt expensive new from the steelers!!!
 
i have a rear one with splitter i never painted + put on if your intested ?

hi was just wondering what year your car is ? because i was thinking of getting spme newer back lights like yours and wondering if they wud fit on my 04 a3? and if so where did you get them from? many thanks for any help.
 
Looks pretty sweet that mate, with the BBS on aswell and the MY11 rear lights :)

And the sunroof is open! haha
