finally got round to fitting wheels and coilovers after much thought on wheel options, tyre size, and suspension. in the end went with 19vmrs which are 19x8.5 with 225/35/19 tyres and vmaxx coilovers. the height is to be sorted out as its not sitting at the correct level yet as they 1st need to settle down then ill need to adjust the back as they are slightly lower at the mo. must say thanks to all the members ive hassled over my decisions on the wheels tyre combo suspension etc. im happy with my choice of 225width tyre although this doesnt enable me to go right down with the coilovers as it catches as i was told before i went with 225s, but after seeing some pics of how low you could go with 225tyres (thanks to darren_wheeler) it was low enough for me rather than getting 215width tyres. only problem ive encountered so far is that i cannot adjust the rear coilovers with the c spanner as all of the adjustable part turns under the weight of the car rather than just the part to lower it if yous understand which is a pain as it was the main reason i bought coilovers so i could adjust the back when the tyres started to catch when i wound it down so i could then adjust it back up so it dont catch but get the car as low as i could. ive had a quick search and found a few others have had this problem on various makes of coilovers. anyway once settled ill adjust accordingly (the long way) but for now this is how it is. finding the ride quality to be fine to be fair which i was surprised at with the low profile tyres and coilovers. got a lot of plans for the car for next year, as for the rest of this year im thinking my11 lights and sorting the exhaust out for some tips etc although unsure whether to do this as ill be changing the bumpers next year and unsure whether the sline/s3 rear bumpers whichever i decide on will line up with original exhaust pipes if anyone can shed any light on this let me know as ive heard it may need altered to fit some rear bumpers although i may be wrong. anyway heres the pics:

Really pleased with the ride comfort though.

alright fella can i ask what polish you have used on your car on the picture because it looks very shinny, my car is the same colour and can never seem to get it to shine like that?

tar for the comments, jonnysimm - im into keeping my car as clean as possible every weekend when ive time although im no expert i just followed the guides from polished bliss which i found very useful when i first got into detailing, when i bought the car i done the usual two bucket wash method, followed by a good clay bar all over, i then have a meguiars g220 da polisher with hexalogic medium pad and menzerna intensive polish (302) followed with hexalogic finishing pad with menzerna power finish. i then protected the car with poorboys nattys paste wax blue then buffed off. takes a while when you first do it but its worth it and then after this you only need to keep on top of it with a wash and dry using dodo juice born to be mild so it doesnt take off the wax as quick as some shampoos can and then re-apply the wax monthly which is what i do anyway and im happy with the results.

Thanks for that is there any chance you could write a list of what you use so i can go off that and look into getting the right stuff.

Looks good dude. Liking those wheels a lot!

I get annoyed about having to actually take the adjuster out to move it as it al spins together on the car, not being secured to anything like it is on other cars Ive had!

yes tim it is highly annoying lol right pain they sit on the bottom of my previous car (golf tdi) and i had no issues but with it sitting on the top of the a3 you just cannot get it to turn seperatly. jonnysimm - items i use:

dodo juice born to be mild shampoo used in conjuction with woolmitt
sonus clay bar
meguiars g220 da polisher:
menzerna intensive polish (302) with medium hexalogic pad
menzerna final finish with hexalogic finish pad
poorboys nattys paste wax blue
applicator pad for the wax
microfibre cloths to buff off

get most my stuff from cleanyourcar google it all products are easy to find on there mate

i use natty paste and mine shines like a B..ch!

no problem, unsure if they are genuine or reps to be honest, got them second hand owner said he got them from niche automotive but anyone could say that i guess but for the price i paid im happy enough.

also how come you have that natty wax paste in blue ? does it matter what colour you get ? even tho my car is a dark colour?

looking great buddy and good to see some pics up on here. glad i was of some use, although i must admit i only raped N8 for his biblical knowledge and passed on what i knew. i guess you will have a play around with it, and i reckon that you will end up a bit lower than you are now. let the games begin.
well done though

jonnysimm - nattys paste wax blue is for darker coloured cars so it says.

tar darren - its probably at its lowest at the back with the pirellis but the front need to come down a touch to be at the same level. But to be fair i havent taken the rear bumper screw out yet so may give that a go as well and tinker with it somemore so as you say let the games begin lol.

looks good mate. good choice of wheel

Stance is nice, wheels not so keen on.
