Out of interest, how long did it take you to drive up to Scotland on the last run?

I was aiming to leave here(Dunfermline) about 7 so hopefully get down there about 10!! Maybe 11 depending on how many speed cameras we spot!

What's the actual address - need to work out how to use the sat-nav!

OK. Finally managed to get in touch with Barry at Well Lane, he'd been on Holiday.

The 4th of May is booked! for us!

People attending on the Definites list above. This cannot change now, no more, no less. Any less and it may affect the cost. And just to confirm, the cost will be £25 per car, regardless of 2wd or 4wd.

Start time: 9:00am.

It will not matter if you are a little late. As long as we have at least 1/2 of us there at 9:00am.

As mentioned before, Men&Motors cameras will be there, with 4-6 of their own cars. Apparently it can take them about an hour to setup their cameras, lights etc. Filming can take about 3/4hr per car (I think?). During their setup, Barry should be able to get a few of our cars done.

Now, the exciting bit. Barry mentioned that we may want to pick a few of our cars for filming also.

Firstly, a pre-requisite set by me (seeing I'm organising it), the car must be sporting Audi-Sport.net stickers. I have a few of the old ones left which I will bring along.

My nominations for cars to be filmed (no guarantees here though):

1) Andiroo's RS480 (or is RS500 now?)
2) Dougals RS2
3) Any tuned S3
4) Any tuned A3 or another S3, perhaps mine seeing I organised the meeting! (Has to be some perks /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif )

Any comments/objections/suggestions?

Just to let you know, I might not be online much this week, if at all. I'm in London at the InfoSec show.

So if any of you decide to drop-out (hope you don't) please let me know via my mobile number (which will be PM'd to you).

The reason I need to know about any "drop-outs" is, if the numbers fall too much, I will have to cancel the RR session, and obviously let Well Lane know a day or two in advance.

Glad everyone enjoyed yesterday. It was a great success overall I think, despite the Men&Motors filming. It was a shame some of you had to wait around, so next time, I'll make sure I book it when M&M aren't filming.

Barry from Well Lane Turbo Centre was excellent I thought. Very helpful and a good laugh. When I thanked him for having us later on, he said "no problem, they were all decent lads. Which made a change". I guess they must get some right dickheads going there sometimes.

Anyway, I'd like to thank everyone that came along. I know some of you travelled a ****** long way, so cheers. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beerchug.gif

It would be good to get some video/sound - Well worth the trip down. Well organised Al - managed to see most of the grand prix between M&M and the power cut!

Torque figures were really low on my car and they weren't flat like the previous plots from AMD and Star Performance. I think my car suffers from heat soak quite badly - it felt a bit slow until I had been running up the road a bit and the low torque appeared again! So will speak to some experts(at gti) to get the car sorted and hit the 380bhp with a couple more mods.

Quiet funny, all the cars that went on the RR, and mine was the only one too low??? exhuast was resting on the RR!!!!

I'm now on the hunt for the cause of mine - however after speaking to Revo, it seems that the 'Fan' problem may have contributed to some of it.. Apparently VAG cars are a ****** to get accurate results from on under RR conditions, and the car has been tuned 'outside' the normal audi tolerances (ie standard figures). VAG intercooler design certainly affects the results under extreme conditions unlike the scoobs.

can't say that i'll be glued to the TV when the filming featuring rev. bob dickwart whatever he's called will be shown.. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

It is interesting, and I'm sure a lot of people will be looking forward to seeing what results you get at Interpro. It will either confirm something is wrong with your car or re-map, or if the Well Lane RR doesn't provide enough cooling. Although that doesn't explain R88per's result (which is about right I believe) under the same temp conditions.

I agree. Does Paul's car have any other engine mods? Also, I was running with Optimax + millers octane booster and the code was set to take advantage of this.
