Interior ultrasonics button not working?

I seem to having trouble with disabling the ultrasonics in the S6 when I leave my GSD in the car, well the trouble is the button isn't disabling the interior ultrasonic sensors so Zeus sets of the alarm when he moves. When I push the button, the red light doesn't come on anymore indicating they have been disabled, faulty button?
 
My button was broken when I bought the car. The replacement from the Audi main dealer was about £15 IIRC, so you could do worse than buy one and try?
 
When my alarm goes off I can see which sensor has set it off using my fault code reader, think its under central locking section. May be worth checking what has activated alarm.
 
I've actually tested it with Kate in the car, pushed the button & Kate waves her arms & off it goes. I first noticed it not working when we left Zeus in the car one day, came back & the alarm was going off. It doesn't go off any other time, so guessing it the ultrasonic sensors.
 
I had a similar problem. The microswitch in the drivers door lock was not working so the car did not know if the door was open or shut. Does the door open indicator work on the screen by the speedo? Replacing the door lock sorted the problem and I could then de-activate the alarm for the dog. Let me know if this helps.

Did your dooor still lock though, as mine does?
 
Yes...the door lock was still working it was just the microswitch that was broken. You could not disable the alarm with the switch in the door until this was working.

How did you know the microswitch wasn't working, is there a way to test it before shelling out for a new lock etc? My LCD display is on the way out but haven't noticed it showing the door open.
 
Have now checked to see if the drivers door shows as open on the LCD display & it does not. All other doors show as open except the drivers door. Where is this micro switch located & how much was it?
