Does anyone know if there's any exhausts ready to go on a TDI Quattro? I want to also remove the cat if possible.

I presume an S3 or Quattro exhaust will fit the chassis, and if it could get mated to the exhaust manifold would it be ok bearing in mind the car is a diesel?

Are there any recommended places that do decent custom exhausts?

longlife exhausts they have branches all over. ull get a choice of sound levels and tips.

Ring em for a quote. Mine is still perfect are 8-9months

Hi Aa0n

I’ve had my A3 TDI Q since 2004 and have been through this many times. There is nothing off the shelf for this car, as you have found out the down pipe from the turbo is the problem

A custom job is the only way forward

I wouldn’t adapt an S3 system, you don’t need the Cat or even the back box, with a straight through system, no boxes, diesels aren’t loud. 2.5” is the max diameter tubing you need to use, anything over that is pointless. The MOT emissions test for a diesel looks for soot particles therefore if you do get rid of the Cat give the car a blast on the motorway before you drive to the MOT station so there’s nothing sat in the pipe work that could add to the reading.

Thanks for the replies, I've got to sort a waterpump issue first, then will probably look at exhausts after.

Did you get a custom system fitted clcollins or did you not bother with it?
