Cruise control installation.

I am preparing the installation of cruise control to my A4 B6 1.9 TDI.
I've got all the parts required. Theoretically I know how to do it except one cable. The cable came with cruise stalk in the box.

Closer look:

I can not sort out what is the cable for and where it should go?
Advice needed please.

I believe that some of the early cars needed a wire installed between the ecu and the rear of the cluster. you will likely not need it

How do I know if I need the wire or not?

on a b6 you dont need it
god knows why they include it its for nothing
i used it for the dis low washer warning
