Hi All,

As some may have read I got my car back yesterday after the alternator was fitted and I am feeling that it it is down on power. Went for a quick spin with VCDS hooked up and went full throttle in third from 50 to 80. Results below, like i thought it is not hitting the correct boost. Any suggestions.

Split vac pipe that runs across the timing cover or boost pipe if they have had the front end off that is.

Hmm, I am planning on buying a silicone hose kit off eBay, do they traditional come with these replacement hoses.

I don't think they come with vac lines just boost hoses so you would have to buy 2 or 3 metre 3mm ID silicone vac pipe just so you have enough and some left over. My TQS was down on bit of power and found the vac pipe for recirc valve to have perished and also found the pipe of the manifold to the fuel rail also had perished replaced them and I could feel the difference immediately.

Right silicone kit ordered. I can't afford a Samco, so I have ordered an Autobahn 88 kit £140. Doing a bit of searching on the forum and I have read a few good reviews. So if this does help what is next N75 change? I have just changes my diverter valves, perhaps a new MAF?

i'd be doing a pressure test to check for leaks, could be the throttle boot or the F hose for instance.

I presume the cars remapped? It doesnt look low enough to suggest a dead N75, i'd have expected 0.4-0.5 bar rather than the 0.7-0.8 bar your seeing.

When i bought it i didn't think it was but after looking through the service history i found a single receipt, I think it was done by superchips..... and it has an awful exhaust on it(need to get that changed I think it is a powerflow, rubbish.)

Thanks Aragorn, i'll ease of the revs now then. Anybody know a place down here in the sticks of Devon where I can get one done?

Edit: Or if anybody has made your own, can any body point me in the right direction if i want to make one and test this weekend.
