sadly its time to change the car.

Hi guys,I'm afraid the need to reduce my outgoings is the driving force in getting rid of my lovely Quattro 190.My wife uses it more than me but has been gradually getting fed up with the fuel bill.I've really enjoyed Audi ownership this being my 3rd and I am sure in the future i will be back to the 4 rings but for now its going to be a Passat 2.0 sel tdi (170) looking smart in Ferrari red with cream sport Nappa leather ,with sports pack ,front and rear parking sensors ,privacy glass at the rear.So here goes saving on fuel,road tax and a little on insurance but god I will miss the Audi it just looks and drives great.While we've been looking at cars every time we walk back towards the 190 my daughter says its the best looking car at the garage and we are changing it and she's right but the recession is still hitting us builders hard and something had to give and sadly its the car.
I would just like to say its been good chatting to you guys,especially you lads that I've met at AITP ,top lads I'm not desserting you I will still be checking into the forum from time to time and hopefully get to some car meets including wickstead,I will just have to park out of sight lol.Good luck with your cars lads catch you soon.All the best Rog190quattro.

Hi mate pick new car up at the weekend I'm afraid we went for a part ex simply because my wife needs a car everyday for her cleaning business.The car is coming from a main dealer but they only offered £4500 for the 190,I told them that this was'nt enough ,I told them what I was prepared to pay ,they said that it was'nt enough so I left my phone number any way and left .They phoned about 4 times the following week and in the end on paper I got £5300 but I know in reality they just dropped the price on the passat until they could do the deal .But I think we 've done ok 56 plate top of the range passat 72k full vw service history ,12 months rac breakdown cover,12 months warranty,cambelt being done, service being done .Tyres had'nt got much life on the front and tried to get them to replace them but they did'nt want to play ball but they are replacing one because i found a small bulge on the back of one.Good luck with your car I know I'm gonna miss mine and wish things were different someones going to get a hell of a good car for the money .
