Hi guys. Picked my 2.0T quattro up tonight and very impressed, one thing i'm not impressed with is the visability of the isofix system on the passanger seat! Two unsightly metal hook things sticking out from where the back of the seat meets the base (if you follow?) Has anyone else had/got this? and can it be removed? Just really spoils the look of what are lovely seats
Thanks in advance

I've gotta say I have noticed them and keep looking over at them on my passenger seat, but I found a solution... - put a pretty girl there and they'll magically disappear lol:sly:

I hear this, really annoying!

Yeah - I took my car back to the garage to complain that the seat hand not been upholstered properly. That was embarrassing.

LMFAO classic, I also made that mistake years ago saying whats up with the front seat, also embarassing, but yes they can be removed by stripping seat down & unbolting which is a pita job but alas.

I however have to do the opposite, strip seat down on my drivers to fit isofix to the passengers given they were lhd drive seats lol, but have to strip down anyway to move seat sensor across for seat belt warning.

I solved this problem by having a child. This mod may not be to everyones taste and it's also rather expensive.

Now we know why God gave him a 1" punch...never heard it called that before :)

I hate to say it but if you have to use them then they are actually really useful - the fact that you can see them.

I agree they are unsightly with no seat in place though.

lmfao @ Pads

Yeah I wouldnt have a car without isofix if I had kids, of which I have 1 currently (that I know of lol)

Dont care what the metal parts look like, all about safety & tbh I forgot all about them after a month, you can actually just about pull the seat cover over them afaik, may need to undo some of the cover 1st though.

My kids go in the back of my car, as the Ferrari kiddies seats:yum: are quite wide and Mark the side bolsters of the front seat (and don't sit flat) even with a neat seat...

I should probably change my name to "ugly gaping wound" after the birth ;)

To be honest I'd never noticed the isofix on the passenger seat as baby always goes in the back. I looked this morning after reading this and right enough, there they are. Pretty hard to see though.

Never noticed them on mine......I wonder if i have them...I will check :)

Yup :) i got em as well....only had the ****** thing 4 years and never noticed..lol
