had a misfire on car around 3-3.5k running with TBE ITG CAI uprated fuel pump and Revo map. VCDS is showing misfire on cylinder 3 (has anyone ever had it on another cylinder?!) usual supects are MAF, coilpacks or Exhaust Valve spring (does anyone know if this effects only 09 cars or all cars of that facelift? i.e. 08+) ive disconnected the MAF for testing and its now not misfiring, which leads me to think that was the fault?

What do you guys/girls think? if it is the MAF weres the cheapest place to get it from? i think they are around £60?

cheers

they are a bit more then that mate!
i just changed mine a couple months back think it came in at about £130ish got it direct from audi as that was the cheapest

Buy from audi as thats the only place you can really guarantee its of any use, ebay ones are probably used unless its an official vag reseller, its one of those items you really should buy from audi tbh.

Nigel supply the man! on a serious note buy genuine. Pattern parts like maf sensors and lambdas always cause problems!

Its not just on audis its on japanese cars aswell go genuine!

Iv got one as well that your welcome to

yeah, i expected the same culprits but unplugging the maf has meant the misfires have stopped...

Buy from eurocarparts. They sell genuine bosch MAFs and take your old one for around £20. Works out about 80 quid.
