Do you mean engine covers? Like the engine cover, battery cover and fluid bottles cover? Like this........

looks like it would fit lads. the drivers side at least. maybe it wont line up but worth a try

cover for washer bottle and expansion tank will fit properly if you have the bracket at the back that screws onto the expansion bottle... finesse posted a pic of this somewhere IIRC... the battery cover will fit properly if you use the S3 battery tray surround as well as the cover however I suspect 'some' modifications may have to be done but I could not tell you what as its not something I have had to do as I have an S3 already :)

Hmm I'm intrigued i think ill try and have a go at this. Gonna have a good look in the engine bay for the necessary fixings.

Why cover everything with bits of plastic?

If you dont want to see the guts of the engine bay, leave the bonnet closed!

make it look pretty.

i dont mind pipework etc but behind my headlights ive got lots of wiring etc that would be nice to hide and i wanna paint them all up. it look fresh. my battery is exposed and looks crap also.

Why does it need to look pretty?

Its an engine bay, with an engine and associated parts inside, and is completely enclosed by the bonnet, wings and front grille, which if your really lucky are already painted and polished and match the rest of the car.

Do you polish the underseal underneath the car as well?

Seems completely retarded to me.

If you want to show off the engine bay, then show off the engine bay. But covering the whole engine bay in plastic just defeats the point. The bonnet does a better job of hiding the stuff, so leave it closed.

Its just what i wanna do mate. In the past ive had crappy engine bays on various cars and they always looked untidy. I for once would like a bay that looks decent.

Just wanna hide the crap on the sides and keep the centre clear. I dont wanna keep it closed and if mates etc wanna have a look id rather it looked half decent.

For the record my car is very clean underneath.

Whats wrong with you today mate anyway? Did you not eat your weetabix?

For the record they do fit the A3, seen plenty fitted to mk4 Golf's, albeit with the possibility of a little fabrication... Also the washer bottle filler doesn't reach very well if you have the smaller 3L one, but the larger 5.5L one fitted to the S3/cars with headlight washers does. I'm on the look out for some myself, so I see your point completely DaveA3. In fact, I painted my throttle body yesterday as it was letting my bay down! If it was such a rubbish idea then Audi wouldn't have fitted them to the S3...

I'm not paying Audi prices though so I'll have to wait for some used ones I think.
