Gents,

I believe the colour is Racing Blue Mica, it's an audi exclusive colour and therefore comes with a rather high price tag.

Is it worth it?

I had a car in a very similar colour (Le Mans Blue) and it looked **** when the weather was dull, looked really crap in winter when nearly always dirty and dull and was a ****** to keep from showing scratches.

I was going to comment on how the weather might be sunnier where you are then noticed you're in Greenock. Since I'm in Gourock I doubt your weather is any better. :)

Is that car at Braehead? Looks like it

1inchpunch, yeah the car is up at Glasgow Audi and it a seriously spec'd up A3.

Thanks for your post, it's really helpful. If a similar colour (Looked up the Le Mans Blue and it's not far off) was a ****** to keep clean then i'm not better off than I would be with a black car. Plus I'll have saved a packet.

Thanks.

any dark colour is prone to scratching its just a part owning a dark car but if you know how to keep it to a min then its all good , i would have a blue car over black but i would have a red over blue and black lol

thats a great colour.

It shouldnt be too hard to keep the paint in decent condition, definitely not as bad as a black car. You just gotta be careful washing it!

I was careful as with the Le Mans Blue and it still showed up every little imperfection. The dullness of the blue when it was gritty in the winter or on flat light dull days just made it look like that crapy old Astra blue.

I had a black golf a few years ago and although it also showed up sand/dust and every little scratch and chip it looked no where near as guff when dirty and still looked good on a dull day. Don't get me wrong, Le Mans Blue was fantastic on a sunny day. Everyone (even people who had no interest in cars) would comment on how good it looked. It was just a pity that it looked rubbish on the other 360 days when it was raining (364 in Greenock :))

eagle_S3, the car looks very nice but after owning a car of a very similar colour I certainly wouldn't pay extra for that colour. I also found the blue very difficult to coordinate with exterior mods. The black grille never looked right and the red tail lights and gray diffuser against the blue annoyed me.

Seen this last week.

Looks amazing in real life. :D

No leather though :(

Yeah it's not got leather and it's an old school manual car. lol.

It's not for sale so not sure if it was in for service or what.

Thanks for all the comments guys. Put the order in for the new car today and went with my original choice of colour which is ...........black.

So now it's just the long wait for it to be delivered.

It must have just been sold then as when I was in 2 weeks ago it still had seat covers on it and no number palates!

You got a build date for your car yet?

Abyss, not a problem mate. I'd also found the 2 pictures that you've posted when i was trying to confirm the name and find out some details. It will look great on the RS3, if you get one as i've just read the thread about delivery times and it seems there worse than the times for the black editions.

Adam, it's a company car that i'm getting, so the order was placed with the lease company on Monday. Once it's confirmed with Audi I believe that I might see it this side of Christmas.

Ive been given a date of September for the RS3 but will believe it once the car arrives :)
